Our Modesto facility is comfortable, serves Gourmet food, has a professional medical and rehab staff, expert housecleaning, organized recreation and a lot of healing and fun for each patient.

The Modesto location has all of our services: residential, outpatient, day treatment (during day hours), adolescent (youth), adult services, and we even have sober living across the street.

The facility is a newer building with large bedrooms.

One of the things that is particularly popular about our Modesto location is the food, the food is excellent food. We spend a lot of money to have excellent food purchased and prepared, because it helps people remember that life is worth living.

At the Modesto location, everyone is busy. They have breakfast in the morning, they have groups in the morning, afternoon and evenings, and it is like that six and a half days a week.

During that time we have recreation groups, we have family groups, and there is also private time for homework. A “family group” is where one or more of the client's family is invited to participate in the treatment so that the family understands the disease, the terms used in recovery, and most importantly, the family learns their role in the addiction. Most families push the addict's buttons and make them want to use and abuse and the family does not even know it. The “family groups” help to heal that through education so that when the person graduates treatment, the family together helps you stay clean instead of being the ones that push you back into using and abusing.

The modesto center does all levels of care for substance abuse, which includes detox, residential treatment, day treatment, partial day and intensive outpatient.

We are state-licensed, and have a doctor on staff as medical director. Everyone that goes to residential treatment is seen by the doctor. All counselors comply with the state requirements for qualification as substance abuse counselors.

We are known for excellent food, and great recreational activities as part of the group counseling. We have exercise equipment, and light physical fun activities that help support the counseling and healing process.

The hours for Turlock are the following:

• Monday – outpatient services 9-12, 1-4, 6-8:30, Business hours 9 am -8:30 pm.
• Tuesday – Closed
• Wednesday - outpatient services 9-12, 1-4, 6-8:30, Business hours 9 am -8:30 pm.
• Thursday – outpatient services 1-4, 6 - 8:30. Business hours 1 pm – 8:30 pm.
• Friday - outpatient services 9-12, 1-4, Business hours 9 am -4:00 pm.
• Saturday and Sunday closed.

Our outpatient services focus on the Celebration of Life with sessions that include both family and one-on-ones. We also focus on flexibility of schedule. Our classes are designed to fit into your work, school and family life while keeping you on track. For those looking for Outpatient services The Living Center also offers our services in nearby Turlock located to the south of our Modesto location. We believe that with our programming you will want to be here versus having to be here.

We have a new, beautiful teen residential treatment house in Santa Cruz. Teenagers who have been there love the house and how it has helped them overcome their problems and be able to face life better, especially a life free from addiction. The focus is on recovery, just like the adult programs, but with special counselors and house considerations for teenagers. This location is secure and safe.
